DSE turnover dips below Tk 7.0b mark
Stocks plunged on Monday, snapping a two-day gaining streak due to profit booking sell-offs. DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, slid 53 points or 0.78 per cent to settle at 6,718, after gaining over 18 points in the past two consecutive sessions. Page 9

Ukraine accuses Russia of massacre
Bodies with bound hands, close-range gunshot wounds and signs of torture lay scattered in a city on the outskirts of Kyiv after Russian soldiers withdrew from the area. Ukrainian authorities accused the departing forces on Sunday of committing war crimes and leaving behind a "scene from a horror movie." Page 17

Maharaj helps South Africa crush Tigers
Spin bowling won the first Test for South Africa against Bangladesh at Kingsmead on Monday, but captain Dean Elgar said he still preferred to attack opponents with fast bowling. Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj and off-spinner Simon Harmer bowled unchanged as Bangladesh crashed to 53 all out, giving South Africa a 220-run victory. Page 15

Oil jumps to $108 as supply fears persist
Oil jumped over 3 per cent on Monday toward $108 a barrel as the release of strategic reserves by consuming nations failed to eliminate supply fears arising from Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the lack of an Iranian nuclear deal. The invasion in February heightened supply concerns that were already underpinning prices. Sanctions imposed on Russia and buyers' avoidance of Russian oil have already led to a drop in output and raised fears of larger losses. Page 19
