BD Paints QIO opens tomorrow
The Qualified investor offer (QIO) of Bangladesh Paints Ltd. shares will open for subscription tomorrow (Sunday), aiming to raise Tk 120 million under fixed-price method. The paint manufacturer's share subscription through electronic subscription system (ESS) of the exchanges will close at 5:30pm on May 26, according to a disclosure posted on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website. Nayeem ruled out of 2nd Test
Debashish Chowdhury, the Bangladesh cricket team's chief physician, confirmed that Nayeem Hasan has been ruled out of the second Test against Sri Lanka due the finger injury he sustained in the opening game of the two-match series. Chowdhury also added that chances of the offspinner making the cut for the Test series against West Indies appeared slim, considering he'll need three to four weeks to recover from the injury. Russian forces step up strikes
Russian forces bombarded areas of Ukraine's eastern Donbas region from land and air on Friday, destroying houses in residential districts and killing a number of civilians, Ukrainian officials said. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the assaults had turned the Donbas into "hell". Page 14
