Sunday, 28 December 2014

Bangladesh Shikkhak Samity demanded Saturday that the government include all the private secondary schools and higher secondary colleges in the monthly pay order (MPO) scheme by June next, reports UNB.
It also demanded forming an independent service commission to recruit teachers and staff in private educational institutions, forming a secondary education directorate to avoid administrative complexity and delays, and increasing the retirement age of teachers and staff to 65 years.
The demands were made at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club.
Reading out a written statement, samity president MA Awal Siddique threatened to wage a tougher movement if the government does not concede to their demands.
