FE Special
REMEMBER how much excited (probably) you were during examinations when you were in primary school ? How much you enjoyed for doing good in those days? How much enthusiasm you had to learn anything new?
When you are grown up, do you find the same type of excitement and pleasure? If yes, you are the one of the very few lucky ones. If no, your case is very common in the society.
Applied psychologists say that we can bring back our childhood excitement and spirit in our works. If you can do so, we can make our life more meaningful and dynamic.
Whenever we learn or see or hear anything interesting, we must thank ourselves. We must feel the excitement of exploring the mysteries of the world.
When we achieve something in our day to day life, we must reward ourselves. That can be relaxation, break from work for a short while etc.
Even though we do not enjoy, we can pretend like we are enjoying. That will help us to a great extent.
If we have anger or dissatisfaction on anyone around us, we must burn them before the sun sets (alternatively, before going to bed).
Rabindranath Tagor used to consider everyday as a blessing. He used to enjoy the rising of the sun and thought to himself that his life was also rising. Everyday was a day of possibilities for him.
Thoughts determine whether I am old or young. If I continuously think myself to be old, I will act like an old person. Even at my old age if I can consider myself young, I will probably act like a young person.
For bringing back childhood spirit, we can follow the following tips:
First, we need to take regular physical exercise. This will help us keep fit, and we will feel fresh. We can enjoy juvenile spirit in our day-to-day life.
Second, we must consider that everyday comes with great possibilities. We must try to utilize it. At the end of the day when I will find myself successful, I can thank myself.
Third, we can remember the sweet memories of our childhood days everyday. We must try to feel those moments. Such practice will obviously help us enjoy adulthood days like the childhood days.
Fourth, we must keep ourselves updated with the latest changes, latest technology that are coming to our society. That will help us keep ourselves modern and there will be little of 'generation gap'.
Fifth, we must cleanse our mind, at least everyday. That we can do through meditation.
Sixth, we must keep a written record of joyous moments and can read them time to time.
Seven, we must not be afraid to take challenges.
Eighth, we should learn new things everyday and should have queries in minds about what are happening around ourserlves.
Ninth, we can keep some childhood habit throughout our life. They can be cycling, swimming, playing badminton, catching fish. We must keep some time for any one of these or more than one of these in our daily life.
Tenth, we must visualize the excitements and joys even before the incidents occur. That will help us perform our tasks easier.
