However, its charm is apparently less than that of the last year.
Most of the businessmen are optimistic about improvement in the situation and awaiting momentum in Eid markets.
Despite being faced by different crises including price hike, most of the dwellers of the port city cannot but visit at least once or twice the markets or shopping malls scattered in the port city.
All the markets including New Market, Mimi Supermarket, Chittagong Shopping Complex and Central Plaza have been well decorated.
All items of goods necessary for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr and Durga Puza are now available in the markets.
Sari, three-pieces, ornaments, pant, shirt, 'lungi', hosiery, 'punjabi', trousers, cosmetics, shoe, electronic items, cent etc. are attracting the visitors.
Besides, different gift items including special colourful cards and books have also arrived in the Eid markets, which are also drawing attention of the shoppers.
Prices of all items have registered rise. In view of the price hike of all items including consumer goods, its impact on buyers has been seriously felt.
