British Council, ACCA organise discussion

A discussion programme on "The Emerging Role of Finance Managers" jointly organised by ACCA Bangladesh and British Council was held at a city hotel Friday, said a press release.
BRAC Bank Limited Chairman Muhammad A (Rumee) Ali was present as the chief guest at the discussion while British Council Director Charles Nuttall OBE and Director (Examinations) Peter Ashton and Council Member and past president of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh Anwaruddin Chowdhury were the distinguished guests.
ACCA Bangladesh Country Manager Mohua Rashid and its members were also present at the programme.
A good number of finance managers, heads of human resource and chief executives of reputed multinational and national companies, banks and NGOs attended the discussion.
The programme presented a good opportunity for business community. The speakers discussed how the finance managers become the centre of businesses against the backdrop of recent financial crisis, how they are now to perform the core role in a business sector.
