The British Council's Young Learners' Centre, popularly known as YLC, is going to organise a day-long cultural extravaganza for children on August 4 from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm, reports BSS.
The purpose of the programme is to showcase the inherent talents of children in the area of creativity.
Young Learners' Centre was built with the generous support of the Standard Chartered Bank to provide children a space where they will be able to nurture their creative ideas with interaction of contemporary British children's literature, visual arts, films and digital media.
This event has been designed in a way that children can celebrate and interact with each other through interactive fun and games. This will enhance their creative thoughts as well as interpersonal skills.
A total of 250 children, among whom more than 100 underprivileged children from different orphanages, will participate in the event.
Various entertaining activities have been chalked out to make the celebration memorable for the children. Sisimpur puppet show, magic show and game show are the prime attraction of this event.
June Rollinson OBE, Director, British Council Bangladesh will inaugurate the event as the chief guest
