British HC hopes CG will follow election roadmap

The British High Commission in Dhaka Thursday expressed hope that a situation would be reached in which the curfew could be lifted at the earliest possible opportunity. "We understand that the Caretaker Government will not allow these events to deflect from its desire for credible election as per the election roadmap. We welcome this," a spokesperson of the high commission said. The high commission also called for restraint from all sides in the prevailing situation. — UNB
