Sylhet Titans have confirmed the service of the English all-rounder Ethan Brookes for the upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 tournament, reports BSS.
"The acquisition of the versatile player, known for his work in the English T20 circuit, is set to significantly strengthen the Titans' squad with added batting depth, power-hitting capabilities, and crucial bowling balance," Titans management said in a statement on Saturday.
"The 24-year old Brookes joins the Titans family bringing a reputation as a modern T20 player who can influence the game with both bat and ball in the middle order. His signing aligns with the Titans' strategy to build a well-rounded and competitive team for the new season."
After roping in former England opener Alex Hales, Dhaka Capitals also penned a deal with Afghanistan's opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Meanwhile, former New Zealand star James Neesham would represent Rajshahi Warriors in this season, the team confirmed through their social media handle.
Neesham came to play last season's BPL for only the final for eventual champions Fortune Barishal. Since he arrived in Bangladesh just before the final, the team management did not field him against Chattogram Kings, considering the jet leg and other factors.
He played seven matches for Rangpur Riders in 2024 BPL, scoring 291 runs with three half-centuries.
