Brother killed at sister\\\'s house in Moulvibazar

A man was killed in his sister’s house over land dispute at Uttarbhag Union under Rajanagar Upazila in Moulvibazar district on Friday. The dead is Siraj Miah, 45, son of Abdur Halim Miah of Zadurkul village. Locals said there was an enmity between Makbul Miah and his younger brother Mojmil Miah. As a sequel to the enmity, Mojmil engaged in an altercation with Makbul in the morning at Zadurkul village. Makbul’s brother-in-law Siraj was trying to settle the matter between the two siblings. At one stage, Mojmil attacked Siraj with sharp weapons and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him injured. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Sylhet Osmani Medical Collge Hospital. Uttarbhag Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Jitu Miah confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
