BRRI training on breeder seed production, preservation ends

Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) has taken up elaborate training programmes for breeder seed production and preservation aimed at contributing to the government's initiatives to ensure the country's food security.
A three-day training course was recently conducted in the GRS Division of BRRI in Gazipur in this connection.
In the concluding session of the course, BRRI Director General Md Nur-e-Elahi, as the chief guest, said breeder seed production is the first step in a series of activities that increase rice yield.
BRRI Director (Research) MA Salam was present as the special guest on the occasion while head of the BRRI Genetic Resources and Seed Division Md Khairul Bashar was in the chair.
