BRTA Bogra earns Tk 180 million revenue

BOGRA, Jan 9: The authority concern of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Bogra circle has earned over Tk 180 million as revenue through miseries condition of its office in 2017.
The authority concern are trying to ensure citizen's service by any cost round the clock, said client Asim Kumar Das, 42, at Puranbazaar under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district.
According to BRTA circle office source they have made Tk 224.3 millions from the registration of a total 13,137 vehicles including 12,523 motorcycles and 614 others heavy vehicles from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.
On the other hand they have made Tk 187.91 million from the registration of a total 12,653 vehicle including 12,504 motorcycles and 149 others heavy vehicles from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 respectively.
The BRTA service is limping whenever clients seek aid due to scarcity of transport availably in the office.
Hundreds of clients visit the office premises for their daily work from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Meanwhile, they can't provide smooth service due to lack of necessary human resource for many days.
"I have come from Sherpur upazila in a view to perform register for my usable motorcycle and get a satisfactory service from the office," said Abdul Mukul.
"Besides, the office is being run broker free round the clock." he added.
Assistance Director (AD) Engineer Kazi Md. Mursalin said, "We have been suffering for adequate building facilities to ensure the smooth service whenever the clients seek aid from the office staff”.
But, we are trying heat to provide good service, he added.
