BRTC starts sale of advance tickets

The Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) started selling advance tickets on Friday ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the greatest religious festival of Muslims.
"BRTC today started selling its advance tickets for the home-bound people. The advance tickets will be available at Motijheel, Joarsahara, Kollyanpur, Gabtoly, Mohammadpur, Mirpur Double-Decker Depot and Dhaka Fulbaria CBS-2," BRTC official Sirajul Islam told BSS.
He said, "The 'Eid Special Service' will begin from July 24 and will continue upto July 20. A total of 900 new buses will be included in the fleet of BRTC in the capital and outside Dhaka."
He said all necessary steps have been taken to ensure a hassle-free journey for the home-bound passengers.
Meanwhile, a long queue was seen at the station since morning, the news agency added.
