BSC introduces feeder vessel Friday

Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) introduces feeder vessel - MV Banglar Shikha on Mongla-Chittagong-Mongla route from Friday to meet the growing demand of shippers, consigners, exporters and importers. Congratulating the BSC on the move, Chairman of Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) M Rezaul Karim said it was a long-felt demand of the country’s business community. BSC has initially fixed freight tariff at US$ 120 for each 20-foot container, US$ 150 for refer container and US$ 90 for empty container. Karim, however, said the freight tariff fixed by the BSC is quite high and the BSC may reconsider the tariff freight again for the greater interest of the trade and export, according to a news agency.
