BSD protests Modi\\\'s visit in Sylhet

Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) on Saturday protested Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh. The BSD activists brought a procession in Sylhet city in the afternoon. The procession ended at the City Point, after parading Central Shaheed Minar, where they held a rally. Speakers at the rally demanded that the Indian government stops its project to construction of the Tipaimukh Dam on the Barak River. They also demanded ensuring fair shares the waters of common rivers, including the Teesta. The speakers claimed that the interests of Bangladesh will be jeopardised following the visit of Modi also he has come here promising to bolster the ties between the two countries, according to UNB.
