BSEC slaps fine on 5 brokerage houses

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on Tuesday slapped a fine of Tk 2.8 million on five brokerage houses and an investor for violating rules and regulations. The decision came from a meeting, chaired by BSEC chairman Prof Dr M Khairul Hossain with all the commissioners present. The penalised brokerage houses are - NBL Securities Limited (DSE# 203 and CSE# 012), Gateway Equity Resources Limited (DSE# 157), Transcon Securities Limited (DSE# 55), Khurshid Securities Limited (DSE# 47), and Be Rich Limited (CSE# 027) and share market investor M Niamul Kabir, according to a news agency.
