BSF abducts five fishermen in Sylhet

SYLHET, Oct 31 (UNB): Indian Border Security Force (BSF) reportedly abducted five fishermen from Kushiara river in Zakiganj Upazila Tuesday.
Locals said the BSF men, on board a speedboat, abducted five fishermen at gunpoint when they were fishing in Kushiara river at about 3pm.
The abducted fishermen are Nasiruddin (22), Sharifuddin (25), Malai Miah (30), Kuti Miah (45) and Tazul Islam (28).
BDR protested against the incident and also held a flag meeting with BSF but the matter was yet to be settled.
Earlier, BSF had abducted two fishermen from the same river on October 19.
