BSF, BDR exchange gunfire

BENAPOLE, Nov 27 (UNB) :Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) exchanged gunfire on Gatipara border here early Tuesday.
However, there was no report of causality in the exchange of fire. But a tense situation was prevailing in the border area following the firing incident.
BDR sources said BSF troops from Joyantipur camp in India fired towards BDR jawans of Muchibari outpost, forcing their counterparts to fire back.
At least 15 rounds of bullets were exchanged between the border guards of the two neighbouring countries, sources said.
