SATKHIRA, Sept 28 (UNB): Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members fired five gunshots on Shakhra border under Sadar Upazila early Tuesday.
However, there was no report of casualty in the firing, which took place at about 5.00am.
BDR sources said BSF members of Soladana camp in Uttar Chabbish Pargana district fired the gunshots apparently targeting Bangladeshi people who were herding their cattle.
The actions of BSF created tension across the border.
Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) members caught 41 Indian cows from the border area in an abandoned condition.
The seized cattle were later handed over to local customs.
