BSF hands over body of Bangladeshi in Kurigram

KURIGRAM: The body of a Bangladeshi national, who was killed in firing by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Phulbari upazila early Saturday, was handed over to BGB Monday, according to a news agency.
BSF returned the body of Mukul Miah, 35, through Khalisha Kotal border at noon, said Bazlur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Phulbari Police Station.
Mukul Mia, a cattle trader of West Balatari village in Phulbari upazila, was shot by the BSF members of Baskotal camp while he along with others was returning home in the early hours of Saturday.
Later, the BSF members dragged him to the Indian territory. Mukul succumbed to his injuries at a Cooch Behar hospital Sunday morning.
After a commander-level meeting between the border forces of the two countries, BSF returned the body to Border Guard Bangladesh.
