BSF kills Bangladeshi on Adatala border

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi cattle trader on Adatala border under Shapahar upazila of Naogaon early Monday.
The trader was identified as Ziaur Rahman, 35, of South Patari village under the same upazila, a news agency report confirmed.
BGB-14 Battalion Commanding Officer Lt Col Rafiqul Hasan confirmed the incident.
The BGB sources said the BSF men of Rangamati camp opened fire on some cattle traders while they were returning to Bangladesh through 242 no border pillar at the village at about 5 am, leaving Ziaur dead on the spot.
After the incident, the BSF men took away his body to India.
The BGB sent a letter to its Indian counterpart, protesting the incident and asked to return the body, the BGB official said.
