BSF kills Bangladeshi on Baradi frontier

CHUADANGA, Oct 28 (UNB): A Bangladeshi farmer was gunned down by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Baradi frontier under Damurhuda Upazila Sunday.
BDR said BSF troops of Bijoypur camp fired three shots on Aminul Islam (35), son of Toko Bari of Baradi village, at about 5:30 am when he was irrigating his cropland, killing him on the spot.
Witnesses said the body of Aminul was lying on the field until 10:00 am.
Chuadanga BDR-35 battalion commanding officer Lt. Col. Mir Motahar Hossain said protesting the incident they sent a letter to BSF demanding immediate return of the body.
The killing by BSF on the border took place at a time when the heads of border security forces of India and Bangladesh were holding meeting in Dhaka to ensure peace along the border.
