BSF kills one in Naogaon

NAOGAON, July 27: A Bangladeshi national was shot to death by Border Security Force (BSF) of India near Bangladesh-India border at  Dakhsin Patari village of Shapahar upazila early Monday. The deceased was identified as Ziaur Rahman (35), son of Motiur Rahman of the village and a cattle trader.  Lt Col Rafiqul Islam, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-14, said a patrol team of BSF's Rangamati camp opened fire at a group of cattle traders, numbering 10-12, while they were entering Bangladesh from India through border pillar no-242 at the village at around 5am, leaving Ziaur dead on the spot.     — UNB
