BSF picks up Bangladeshi boy

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel intruded into Bangladesh and picked up a boy from border area in Ranishongkoil upazila in Thakurgaon district on Saturday morning. The victim was identified as Mohammad Hossain, 12, son of Abdul Majid, a resident of Chikanmati village in the upazila. Quoting locals, BGB sources said a group of troops of 121 BSF battalion from Tingaon camp under Goalpukur thana in India’s Uttar Dinajpur district, caught Hossain from near the Main Pillar No. 375 on Jagadal border point around 7:00am when he was walking there. Confirming the incident, official of Detective Branch Major Towhid said a letter has been sent to the BSF asking for holding a flag meeting to return the Bangladeshi boy, according to UNB.
