BSF picks up Bangladeshi in Thakurgaon

India's Border Security Force (BSF) personnel picked up a Bangladeshi young man from Baliadangi Upazila in Thakurgaon district on Sunday night. The victim is Muktarul, 20, son of Lafizuddin, a resident of Barocharaigati village of the Upazila. Quoting local people, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officials said a group of BSF troops from Barobillah camp under Goalpukur thana in Uttar Dinajpur district of India intruded into Bangladesh picked up Muktarul while he was entering Indian territory through Pillar No-380/3 in Beurjhari frontier village around 7:30pm. Confirming the incident, operation officer of Thakurgaon BGB Maj Nazmul Huda said they had sent a letter to the BSF for holding a flag meeting to bring back the young man, according to a news agency.
