BSF picks up man, boy from Dharmagarh border

India’s Border Security Force (BSF) personnel picked up a Bangladeshi man and a teen-aged boy from Dharmagarh border at Ranishongkoil Upazila in Thakurgaon district on Wednesday night. The victims were identified as Johirul, 25, son of Ahmed Ali of Bhadreswari village, and Jewel, 16, a resident of Muradhar village. Operational officer of BGB Battalion 30 Major Touhid Hossain said troops of BSF Battalion 121 from Shreepur camp caught Johirul and Jewel from near the Main Pillar No. 372/7 at Dharmagarh border point around 10:00pm when they entered the Indian territory illegally to bring cattle from there. A letter has been sent to the BSF asking for holding a flag meeting to return the two Bangladeshi people, said Major Towhid, according to UNB.
