India’s Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over two Bangladeshi youths to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). They were held on allegations of trespassing. BGB Benapole check-post camp Commander Subedar Ayub Hossain said BSF handed them over late Friday night. The two youths have been identified as Noakhali’s Liton Chandra, 26, and Khulna’s Nihar Ronjon, 28. BSF patrol team of Haridashpur camp detained the two from Petrapole border, opposite to Benapole checkpost, earlier that night while they were ‘illegally crossing’ the border. Commandar Ayub said after BSF informed BGB of the arrests a request was made to higher officials of the Indian border guard to return the detainees to Bangladesh, according to bdnews24.com.
