BSF tortures BD farmer in Chuadanga

A Bangladeshi farmer was tortured by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Nastipur border in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Ijajul Islam, son of Sirajul Islam of Nastipur village. Locals said BSF members from Bijoypur camp intruded into the Bangladeshi territory and beat Ijajul with rifle butts around noon while he was working at his paddy field, leaving him critically injured, according to a news agency.
