BSFIC to export 10,000 tonnes molasses

Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) and M/S Anwarul Haq of Jaypurhat signed an export agreement in the city recently.
BSFIC Secretary Md Lutfur Rahman and M/S Anwarul Haq proprietor Md Anwarul Haq signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the deal, BSFIC will export 10,000 tonnes of molasses abroad at the rates of ex-mill $34.02 and FOB $42.00 from eight sugar mills of the country.
Molasses is the staple by-product of sugar industries. The country will earn $0.42 million foreign exchange from exporting the item.
