BSFIC warns of legal action

Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) Tuesday said it was going to take legal action against unscrupulous traders who were selling adulterated sugar in name of product of BSFIC.
It is also going to grill the traders who are selling corporation's 1.0 kg sugar pack at much higher rates than the official MRP of Tk 85 a kg.
In a press note, issued on the day, the Corporation alleged that they came to know many traders were selling adulterated sugar in name of BSFIC product at an exorbitant rate.
Many traders were also selling the BSFIC 1.0 kg sugar pack at Tk 100-120 a kg after removing the official tag of Tk 85 a kg.
The Corporation has requested the traders to stop such wrongdoings or it will take legal action.
BSFIC requested the consumers and buyers to purchase its cane sugar examining its logo and its fixed price.
