BSJA held Milad, special prayer for soul of Sadi

Bangladesh Sports Journalists' Association (BSJA) held a 'doa and milad mahfil' at its office Wednesday for the departed soul of its senior member Al Musabbir Sadi Pommel, reports UNB. Pommel who was general secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation died of cancer Friday at the age of 44. Leading sports journalists, sports organisers, members of different national sports federations and the family members of Pommel attended the meeting. Sports writer Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury, sports journalists Kashinath Basak, Syed Mamun, Utpal Shuvro, Arifur Rahman Babu, Saidur Rahman Shamim, Raihan Al Mughni and family members of Pommel attended the Milad Mahfil. Another Doa and Milad Mahfil will be held today (Thursday) after Asr prayer at Modhubagh Mosque in Maghbazar. Earlier, the qulkhani of Pommel was held last Monday after Asr prayer at his residence-Camelia Asset, 37 Lalmatia, Block D in the capital. Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) also arranged a "doa and milad mahfil" at BFF Bhaban in Motijheel Tuesday afternoon. Pommel left behind his mother, wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
