BSMMU hospital director injured in bomb attack

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital's Director Brigadier General (Retd) Abdul Majid Bhuiyan was injured in a bomb attack in the city on Monday evening. Shahabagh Police Station's officer-in-charge (OC) Sirajul Islam said some miscreants hurled two bombs one after another after Brig Gen (Retd) Abdul Majid's car left the BSMMU Hospital and reached the road in front of Ruposhi Bangla Hotel. The car was damaged and Brig Gen (Retd) Majid was injured in the bomb attack. The miscreants fled the scene immediately after the attack. He said a case was filed in this connection and efforts are on to arrest those involved in the incident, according to a news agency.
