BSP Food Products Ltd fined

CHITTAGONG, Sept 12: As a part of the anti adulteration campaign, the elite force RAB paid a surprise visit to BSP Food Products Ltd at Kalurghat industrial area in the city. There RAB discovered adulterated food and other spurious material, sources said.
Led by ASP Jahangir of RAB, anti adulteration squad campaign Executive Magistrate Sheik Kamal Hossain and BSTI Inspector discovered that BSP Food Products Ltd were manufacturing and marketing baking powder, noodles, pickles and agarbati without obtaining permission from Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institute (BSTI). BSP Food Products Ltd were fined Tk 1,00,000 on the spot.
A case was filed in this connection, sources added.
