BSRM Steels holds AGM

The 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of BSRM Steels Limited was held at the Institution of Engineers in Chittagong Centre Sunday, said a press release.
The meeting was presided over by the chairman of the company Alihussain Akberali while Managing Director Aameir Alihussain, Directors Zohair Taherali, Teliseen Zohair Taherali, Sabeen Aameir and Independent Director Qazi Sarwar-E-Alam, Executive Director Tapan Sengupta, General Manager Kazi Anwar Ahmed, Head of Marketing and Sales M Firoze FCA, head of Finance and Accounts and company Secretary Shekar Ranjan Kar, Senior Manager (Commercial and Purchase) M Harunur Rashid and a large number of shareholders also attended the meeting.
BSRM Steels Limited, a sister concern of the BSRM Group of Companies, is the largest steel producing company in Bangladesh. The company first introduced grade 500 steel as BSRM Xtreme 500W which is widely accepted by the general customers as well as engineers, construction contractors, etc.
It may be mentioned that the Company started commercial production using the most modern European plant from April 2008. The company incurred loss last year due to adverse economic situation, worldwide recession and unrealistic intervention by the past government.
Chairman Alihussain Akberali, a renowned chartered accountant and industrialist expressed his hope that the company would be able to earn profit in the current year.
He and the board of directors expressed their deep gratitude to the shareholders, dealers, officers, employees and other concerned quarters for their sincere cooperation and trust on the management of the company.
