BSRM Steels increases capacity to 550,000 tonnes

BSRM Steels Limited, country's largest and best quality manufacturer of steel products, has successfully commissioned new equipment to increase its capacity of production from 375,000 tonnes to 550,000 tonnes per year, according to a press release.
The new equipment will enable BSRM to use better quality raw material of larger size and manufacture products for modern plants abroad.
Upgrading the technology and equipment of the plant comes as a package from the original Italian plant supplier who is globally acknowledged as the leader in steel manufacturing technology.
BSRM Steels Ltd. is the first and only steel manufacturer in the country to manufacture 8mm to 40mm steel reinforcing bars using 160mmX160mm billets as the raw material.
