BSRS earns Tk 213.6m profit

Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha (BSRS) earned a profit (before tax) of Tk 213.60 million during fiscal year (FY)-2007-2008.
The figure was disclosed at the board of directors meeting of the company in the city Sunday, said a press release.
Chairman of the board Nazem Ahmed Choudhury presided over the meting.
The board also approved the audited financial statements of the company for the stated period.
Out of the profit, Tk 10 million will be paid to the government as dividend. There is no shortfall in bad debt provision and capital adequacy ratio as per Bangladesh Bank circular.
The board expressed its satisfaction over the performance of the company during 2007-2008 and expressed the hope that the Sangstha would continue to play its important role in the national economy in the coming years, the release stated.
