BSTI fines 19 shops in two districts

RAJSHAHI, Feb 3 (BSS): Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institution (BSTI) penalised 19 shops about Tk 1.86 lakh in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions in January this year for selling and manufacturing adulterated food items.
Mobile courts of the BSTI Rajshahi regional office in association with local administration conducted drives at different parts of Rajshahi and Rangpur regions and found selling of substandard food items, violating the rules and regulations.
The courts also realised Tk 1.86 lakh from the shop owners during the drives conducted in nine districts under Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
