FE Report
Warid Wednesday signed two separate memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the country's largest land phone operator- Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) and mobile phone operator Teletalk Bangladesh Limited.
The MoU will create scopes for infrastructures sharing among Warid and the two operators for their mutual benefits. This MoU is the first of its kind among a private telecom operator and the two state-owned companies.
Under the MoU, operators can share infrastructures like BTS, transmission equipment, transmission bandwidth, space, towers, poles, power, generator and optical fiber lines. The agreement will pave the way for the operators to provide better coverage to their respective customers while minimizing costs and reducing environmental impacts.
