BTRC chief hails Warid for rapid achievements

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Manzurul Alam congratulated Warid Telecom for acquiring three million subscribers within one year of commercial operation.
The chief of country's telecom watchdog also praised the mobile phone operator for its overall achievement and expressed hope that it will continue its successful journey in future.
He made these comments Monday at a gala function of the operator held at a city hotel.
Top civil and military officials, editors of national dailies, businessmen, bankers and Warid high officials attended the event, which was organised as a part of Warid Telecom's celebration of first anniversary.
Highlighting the achievements of the company, Warid Chief Executive Officer Muneer Farooqui said, "We are celebrating first anniversary with over three million valued subscribers. We are committed to bring qualitative change in the country's telecom sector by providing better services to our customers with the best available quality network."
