Warid Telecom has launched a countrywide awareness campaign to implement the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission's (BTRC) directives on subscriber registration.
BTRC has made it mandatory for the mobile companies to collect two passport-size photographs, identity certificate and other necessary documents from the subscribers while selling new connections.
Warid has started the countrywide campaign to create awareness about the BTRC rules on registration among the subscribers. The company has divided the country into six regions to make the campaign a success.
Warid has directed its sales centres and franchise outlets across the country that they must collect two recent passport-size photographs, completely filled-up registration form, passport or driving licence or other ID for confirming identity of the subscribers while selling new connections.
Warid Senior Manager (Marketing) Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq said, "We are interacting with our sales partners separately to make them understand the importance of the issue.”
