BTV earns Tk 1.03b profit: Inu

The state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) earned a profit of Tk 1.03 billion, including tax from advertisement in the fiscal year 2012-13, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu told parliament on Thursday. Inu’s figure came in his reply to a starred question from Begum Sanjida Khanam (women seat-24). Inu said that the government also realised Tk 0.23 million in 2 per cent service charge in the last fiscal year from the special supplements published by the Department of Films and Publications (DFP), according to a news agency.
