BU launches own permanent campus

DU Correspondent The authorities of Bangladesh University (BU) have launched its own permanent campus to ensure education-friendly atmosphere in line with the directive of education ministry. State minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak Tuesday inaugurated the campus as the chief guest at Beriband, Mohammadpur in the city. In absence of the Trustee Board President Quazi Jamil Azher, his message was read out by Quazi Shihab Ansari Azher at the progrmme. BU trustee board member MA Malik presided over the inaugural ceremony while National Professor Dr MR Khan addressed the occasion as the special guest and BU Vice Chancellor in-charge Dr Golam Ali Fakir delivered the welcome address. Among others, BU Trustee Board Secretary Engr Golam Dastagir and Alhaj Md Sadek Khan also addressed the function.
