BUCG-ABC to build BRACU campus

BRAC University (BRACU) signed a contract with the BUCG-ABC joint venture at a ceremony at the university recently to build its new permanent campus facility at Merul Badda in the city, says a press statement.
BRAC donated 6.29 acres of land for the campus.
The construction work is scheduled to be complete in 30 months and the
campus to be shifted in early 2020.
The building will be 1,700,000 square feet with three basements and 13 floors. The piling and D-wall for the new campus have been completed.
The Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) International and ABC Limited are renowned names in the construction sector in China and Bangladesh respectively.
BRACU was established in 2001. At present, it has 7,023 undergraduate, 1,058 graduate and 298 diploma students studying in nine departments/schools and four institutes.
