Budget deficit Tk866.57 billion

The deficit for this year’s national budget will be Tk866.57 billion (Tk86,657 crore), which is 5.0 per cent of the GDP. Finance Minister AMA Muhith said Tk 301.34b (1.8 per cent of GDP) will be financed from the external sources and Tk 565.23b (3.3 per cent of GDP) from the domestic sources, according to a news agency.
