Budget for Jessore, Savar Pourashavas announced

JESSORE, June 30 (UNB): Over Tk 252.20 million (25.22 crore) budget for Jessore Pourashava has been announced without imposing any new tax.
Chairman of the Pourashava SM Quamruzzaman Chunnu announced the budget Sunday for the fiscal 2008-09. He also placed a Tk 133.30 million (13.33 crore) revised budget for fiscal 2007-08.
Income of over Tk 87.3 million (8.73 crore) has been earmarked in revenue sector while Tk 154.10 million (15.41 crore) in development sector in the proposed budget.
Local elite and poura commissioners were present on the occasion.
Another report from Savar adds: A Tk 340 million (34 crore) budget for Savar pourashava has been announced for 2008-09 financial year.
Pourashava chairman Mohammad Refat Ullah announced the budget Sunday in the Pourashava auditorium in presence of journalists and local elite.
In the budget, over Tk 335.9 million (33.59 crore) has been shown as total expenditure while over Tk 3.02 million (30.20 lakh) as surplus.
