Budget session begins

The 10th parliament opened its first budget session on Tuesday afternoon. Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury chaired the session that started at 5:04 pm with recitation from the Holy Quran. This is the second session of the current parliament, elected on January 5. Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place the national budget proposals for 2014-15 fiscal year on Thursday, according to a news agency.
