Budget session of Parliament prorogued

The budget session of the 10th Parliament was prorogued on Thursday after 24 sittings that passed 37 bills, including two private members’ bills. Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury read out the prorogation order of the President at 3:33 pm. This was the first budget session of the present government that assumed office after the January 5 elections, according to a news agency.
