Budget to benefit stock market: DSE

The proposed budget for the forthcoming financial year 2014-15 (FY15) would benefit stock market and share investors, observed the authorities of the country's prime bourse. "We welcome the budget as it proposes many things for the development of the stock market," Managing Director Professor Shawpan Kumar Bala told a press briefing on the DSE premises on Saturday. DSE Chairman Justice Siddiqur Rahman Mia, Chief Regulatory Office AKM Ziaul Hasan Khan and Director Ruhul Amin also attended the press conference and responded to quarries from journalists.  In the budget, Muhith proposed a five-year tax exemption for Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges to help the bourses accomplish their ongoing reform process, which would ensure more accountability and transparency in stock trading, according to a news agency.
