BUET Octavian Team becomes 2nd runner up

The BUET Octavian Team became the second runner up in the CITI Financial IT Case Competition funded by CITI Foundation and managed by D. Net and Citibank N. A., said a press release.
A total of 53 teams from 20 private and public universities of Bangladesh took part in the second such competition.
The team developed a project named virtual money transaction the objective of which is to make transaction of money easier in a secured and digital way. The project contains the idea of Mobile Cash (M Cash) which will provide stored value account that enables the user to transact money anytime, anywhere through the use of mobile phone.
The Octavian Team comprises Hasan Habibul Latif Bappi and Muntasir Mamun Mithu from Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) Department and Samiul Monir and Sheikh Al Amin Sunoyon from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
