BUET's workshop on 'productivity management' ends

The closing and certificate awarding ceremony of a five-day training workshop on 'Productivity Management and Quality Control of Electrical Products' was held at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in the city recently.
BUET's Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT) organised the workshop, which was sponsored by Light Engineering Product Business Promotion Council of the Ministry of Commerce, said a press release.
Chaired by IAT Director M Kamal Uddin, the closing session was attended, among others, by former DUET vice-chancellor M Anwarul Azim and Bangladesh Electrical Merchandise Manufacturers' Association (BEMMA) President Enayet Hossain Chowdhury as the chief guest and the special guest respectively.
A total of 39 owners, managers, entrepreneurs, technologists and engineers of various engineering industries and enterprises took part in the workshop.
Teachers of IAT and other departments of BUET, and some experts from private and public organisations of the country, who are specialised in this field rendered training as the resources persons in the workshop.
